Corning Union Elementary School District is making significant investments in safe, modern, and functional learning environments for students, staff, and families. The District is moving forward with three major facility project areas that will improve classrooms, campus access, student support spaces, and long-term school infrastructure. These projects are funded primarily through Measure J, along with ELOP and other available funding sources.

OUR MAJOR FACILITY PROJECTS

West Street Phase III

West Street Phase III

West Street Phase III includes three major components designed to modernize existing spaces and add new student and staff facilities.
Project components include:
  • Campus Modernization
    Comprehensive renovation of an existing campus building, including classroom upgrades, corridor improvements, restroom and accessibility improvements, updated mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, and a new fire alarm system.
  • 4-Wing Classrooms
    Construction of a new classroom building, including demolition of an older structure, new framing, utilities, drainage, grading, and accessibility improvements.
  • Administration Building
    Construction of a new administration building with offices, reception, support spaces, restrooms, and related site/frontage improvements.

Rancho Tehama Elementary School

Rancho Tehama Elementary School

Rancho Tehama’s project area includes new instructional and student support space, along with major site and access improvements.
Project components include:
  • Gym and Administration Building
    Construction of a new administration building and gymnasium, including offices, reception, support facilities, site improvements, pedestrian circulation, accessibility upgrades, and parking/site infrastructure improvements.
  • Modular Classrooms
    Installation of new modular classroom buildings, including site preparation, foundations, utility connections, exterior finishes, and pedestrian pathway improvements.

Community Day School

Community Day School

This project will create a more accessible, safe, and functional space for students enrolled in the Community Day School program.
Planned improvements include:
  • A new CDS modular building
  • Expanded parking and improved site access

WE TIP - PLEASE REPORT VANDELISM

CUESD understands that our local students, parents, and community members are vested in maintaining CUESD facilities.  Local individuals can also be helpful in preventing or identifying potential damage to our facilities caused by vandalism or theft.  CUESD uses the WE TIP program which can provide local law enforcement with important information through anonymous reporting.  For more information on WE TIP program click here.
